I am 27 my family moved to Denver when I was two, and I have live in Arvada for most of that time. Durning the summer of 2008 I found a new passion in my life, and alot has changed for me since then. Up untill that summer I was working in the marketing & consulting field making money for companies that I really never backed but the money was good. I always thought that donating money or volunteering here and there was enough for me to feel good about what I saw wrong in the world, man was I wrong. Since then I quit the job that I was at and went to work part-time for alot less pay so I could follow this new PASSION I found inside of me.
The year of 2009 is one that I will always look back at as the most trying, inspiring, emotional, moving years I have ever been through. I have been able to use the skills that I learned in the "Corporate World' to be part of the change that I always wanted to see. I would never go back to that world, but I am grateful for everything that I was taught by everyone I worked with.
My goals for this new life path that I have took are to create a network of people, communities and organizations that are willing to share resources to help the youth of the world. This is what I have always wanted to do and never thought that I would be able to help inspire so many Young Leaders. If only I would of woke up sooner, everyone of the Students that I have worked with has taught me so much.
Working with Youth is something that I have always wanted to do, but never thought that I would be able to at this level. Over the past year I have been a part of some of the most inspiring youth events, and look forward to all that is still ahead.
This world is full of bright young minds, some are affriad to let their voice be heard. I was the same for far too long, everytime I am leading or sitting in on a workshop I kinda feel like I wasted a portion of my life just being a robot for the "Corporate World." There is nothing like seeing the look in a young persons eyes when they see that they can be and are Leaders.
I enjoy engaging in dialogue with others about Personal Sustainability, Sustainable paths to leadership and Sustainable paths to Action. I still have a hard time sometimes with all of the talk and no action, I think that is due to my late wake up and trying to make up for what I see as lost time in that "corporate world"
Finding what you truly love to do is one of the most fufilling emotions you can feel. I am so honored to be able to share my stories with you and help move your dreams & visions forward..
