Design a city challenge, similar to your experiences in Europe.
You have until August 24 to design the morning game to be delivered on August 27
Begin:
Blackberries Cafe 26th and Welton
Use Light rail and 16th street mall buses
Use the Native American monument, east side of State Capital
Use the Korean/Nam memorial, ( Washington Memorial facsimile) in Civic Center park as well the new art museum and new city and county building art, ( the faces in front of building)
The big blue bear? The dancing Aliens? The rodeo rider statue on Broadway? The gateway bridge. . .
maybe have them find a politician. . .get a photo. . . etc. etc. . .make it fun, informative and educational, plus stretch them. . .
Let me know who is in the game from the team. . .we would likely need a few of you to be around it as well, so you may have to request a half day off from school.
If I can't be there for the actual day, I want to be there for the planning that Cody and Nina are talking about. Maybe we could try it this weekend? Possibly meet up at the library down town again, and plot from there. We would have access to the internet so that we have the list of what Michael has already suggested, then possible maps of the city. I'm not 100% sure on this one, but if we are at the library, couldn't we also find some colorado history that our romani counterparts could look into as apart of the challenge? Also, being so close to the capitol, we could also research some current representatives, and let them have a go at figuring that out, no?
I would really love to be there, but Sunday is the day we have with our host students, so I'll be with Sara all day. It would kind of ruin it for her if I brought her. Can I give you guys some ideas online and then you can talk about them at the meeting?
