why does my son on his second birthday

why do the cyclamens on the Wall in Spring

why do the cats in the Summer

why do the doves in the sunny sky

don't they know that

I AM THE BUFFER ZONE
I was born in 1974
But I was probably planned long before

I am thirty four years old,
And people who cross me, are BOLD.

I cause pain, and fear
And many cries everyday, I hear.

I hope to "die" soon,
So that the people of Cyprus can eat together at noon.

I AM THE BUFFER ZONE
And whenever I disappear,
New life on the island of Cyprus will appear...

Sorry guys for doing this kind of late... I was very busy lately and I sort of "backed off"... But, I'M BACK!!!!

Oh my! What a brilliant way to return your voice! And so classic. . .

never looked at the buffer zone that way, Leonidas. . .a whole new perspective on a common practice of controlling authors, yet not as critically examined in political cleaning up as it has been in literature usage. You remain unique, yet classical.

We need more! Where are the poets? The lyricists? I believe that Leonidas is the first male voice. Are you all weary from your memorization work?

I Am the Buffer Zone
I Am a seperator
of hearts, of dreams, of hopes
I Am painful to look at
I Am something I dont like
A reminder of pain
a concrete wall
That divides an island...
....what a beautiful island
Is that really what I am though?
Am I the sourse of pain?
Or am I just another excuse?

I am the buffer zone
With all my cruelty and
With the feeling to seperate brothers and sisters
I am the buffer zone,
With all bad memories
People were shot around me
And i am cursed with that.
I am the buffer zone,
Felling all the pain of people once lived on me,
Now their desire for the peace,
I want to get away, soon from this
I am the buffer zone,
I can only say what people on me can feel,
Pain, Hope, Love, Friendship, Awareness...
All these feelings amongst communities,
Let's mind the gap, and break the boundaries!

i am what they want to see
i am the barren place
i am the peacemaker
at least i was supposed to be

i am the bridge
so-called "connection"
yet i don't mind the gap
i am solely the reminder of separation

i am just a path with sandbags
dividing what must be united
am i a border,the truth?
only seeking eyes can see that

i am the shame of the "power"
i am the scar that remains
my destruction,their peace
