Today, 12/12/08, 13.08pm, the ex-president of the Republic of Cyprus,Tassos Papadopoulos, passed away after losing the battle against cell lung cancer. RIP Tassos Papadopoulos

He lived well.
I wonder what the current state of the island would be, if he had succeeded in being reelected, then suffered this cancer during his administration.
And this way, he was able to be with family and friends and his doctors far from the glare of publicity.

For me it was kind of an expected thing because you can't cure such a disease but I still can't believe it. RIP

He knew he was going to die after a while and I'm glad he did so away from any annoying publicity. RIP Tassos Papadopoulos
